Opportunity Summary:
The Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) invites eligible applicants to submit Letters of Inquiry for large grants supporting biodiversity conservation initiatives in the Mediterranean Basin. The call focuses on projects that promote traditional land-use practices and conserve threatened plant species.
What It Supports:
The opportunity supports biodiversity conservation and nature protection projects, particularly initiatives related to traditional land-use practices and the conservation of threatened plant species, in line with Strategic Directions SD3 and SD4.
Funding / Amount:
Large grants ranging from US$50,000 to US$180,000.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements, criteria and restrictions specified in the detailed call documents.
- Projects must be implemented in one of the eligible countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jordan, Lebanon, Montenegro, Morocco, North Macedonia, Palestine or Tunisia.
- Projects should address one of the two strategic directions: traditional land-use practices or the conservation of threatened plant species.
- Letters of Inquiry must be submitted in English or French through the ConservationGrants portal.
- Late applications and submissions sent by email or through any other mechanism will not be accepted.
- Review the detailed call documents, including the instructions, criteria, restrictions and eligibility requirements.
- Create a new account on the ConservationGrants portal or log in using existing account credentials.
- Prepare and submit the Letter of Inquiry online in English or French through the portal before the deadline.
- Check for the automatic confirmation email from ConservationGrants to verify that the submission was received.
