Deadline: 3 August 2026. - Target Audience: Regional, national, and local human rights NGOs, institutes, and individuals operating in the South-Mediterranean region, including Lebanon. Opportunity Summary: EMHRF provides flexible financial assistance to human rights organisations and defenders, with priority for those at risk or facing difficulties, innovative and sensitive initiatives, women and youth leadership development, and work in remote areas. What It Supports:

• Core funding or specific programmes/projects in human rights.
• Capacity building, innovation, protection, documentation, and advocacy.
• Initiatives developing women’s and youth’s leadership.
• Work in remote or hard-to-access regions.

Funding:

• Usually between €10,000 and €30,000.
• Maximum: €40,000.
• Support duration: 12–18 months.

Eligibility:

• Human rights NGOs, institutes, and individuals in the South-Mediterranean (Lebanon is eligible).
• Formal registration is not explicitly required, but a clear legal and organisational profile must be provided.
• Must attach a provisional annual budget and a detailed project budget.
• Application max ~10 pages, in Arabic, English, or French.
