Deadline: Applications are open all year round with no deadline. Target Audience: Local or national women’s rights organizations, youth-focused or young women-led organizations, women peacebuilders, and coalitions or informal groups of women, depending on the stream. Some streams do not require legal registration. Opportunity Summary: The Rapid Response Window of the UN Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund provides flexible funding and support for strategic, short-term, urgent initiatives led by women to increase women’s meaningful influence in peace processes and the implementation of peace agreements. It is open in all ODA-eligible countries and covers ongoing, upcoming, or stalled peace processes. What It Supports:- Direct Support services up to USD 30,000 for up to six months.
- Short-Term Grants up to USD 100,000 for up to six months via an INGO partner.
- Women-led strategic and urgent peacebuilding initiatives.
- Activities tied to the monitoring or implementation of a specific peace agreement.
- Direct Support: up to USD 30,000.
- Short-Term Grants: up to USD 100,000.
- Maximum duration: six months.
- For Short-Term Grants: local or national registered women’s rights organizations, youth-focused or young women-led organizations, or eligible coalitions.
- For Direct Support: local or national women’s rights organizations or coalitions, individual women peacebuilders, informal delegations, or women’s movements.
- International NGOs, government agencies, political parties, UN entities, universities, think tanks, and research institutions are not eligible.
