Call for Research Proposals on Land and Housing in the Arab Region | Arab Land Initiative

Deadline: 30 August 2026. - Target Audience: Students, young researchers, practitioners, and activists from the Arab region interested in conducting research on land and housing issues in Arab countries. Opportunity Summary: The Arab Land Initiative of UN-Habitat and the Global Land Tool Network (GLTN), in partnership with Public Works Studio, launched the second edition of the Research Innovation Fund. The fund supports innovative research on land governance and related development challenges, with a focus on how land governance systems influence development trajectories and respond to emerging challenges in the region. What It Supports:

• Land governance research.
• Housing, climate adaptation, and resilience.
• Women’s and youth access to land and housing.
• Land registration and digitalization.
• Food security.
• Protection of housing, land, and property rights for displaced people.
