Deadline: Applications are open from 6 July 2026 to 11 November 2026 on a rolling basis. Early submission is encouraged, and projects completed before 31 December 2026 receive priority review. Target Audience: Community organisations, nonprofits, cooperatives, civil society groups, local fintech startups, social enterprises, and individual practitioners with a concrete project plan. Applications are welcome from any geography, with priority for communities in the Global South, rural areas, or peri-urban regions with limited access to formal financial services. Opportunity Summary: The Interledger Foundation’s Local Impact Mini-Grants put funding directly into the hands of the people doing local financial inclusion work. The program supports small but impactful community-led initiatives that expand digital financial access from the inside out, including meetups, workshops, hackdays, community conversations, research, storytelling, and content creation focused on open payments and digital financial access. Grant Amount and Coverage:- Grants range from $500 to $3,000 USD.
- Funding is for direct project activities only.
- Eligible uses include meetups, workshops, demos, hackdays, participatory learning sessions, research, storytelling, awareness campaigns, and content production.
- Facilitator compensation, organiser stipends, travel, and logistics directly tied to delivery are eligible.
- General operating expenses and capital expenditures are not eligible.

- Registered and unregistered organisations.

- Applications from any geography are generally welcome, except countries subject to U.S. sanctions.

- Include a budget and timeline document outlining key milestones.
- Projects must be completed within 6 months of accepting the grant.

- No prior experience with Interledger is required.
