SBW Berlin Scholarship – Fully Funded Study Opportunity in Germany
Overview:
The SBW Berlin Scholarship program offers a fully funded study opportunity in Germany for individuals actively involved in social or charitable projects in their home countries. The scholarship supports social commitment through the development of social projects during the recipients’ studies.
What the Scholarship Covers:

Fully furnished student accommodation in shared apartments.

Monthly stipend of €480.
-
Full tuition fee coverage.
-
Contribution towards round-trip travel expenses to and from Berlin.

Ongoing support and mentorship for the social project.

Opportunities to attend workshops and prepare project reports.

Guidance and accompaniment throughout the study period.
Eligibility Criteria:
-
Age between 18 and 30 years.
-
Currently working or volunteering with a non-profit or social organization (must provide an official recommendation letter from the organization).

Intend to work on a genuine social project after graduation in your home country.

Academic performance of very good or higher (equivalent to 80% or B+).
-
Early in your studies (before university or within the first three semesters).
-
Have not lived in Germany for more than 18 months.
-
No first-degree relatives permanently residing in Germany.

Proof of low personal or family income.

Demonstrate intention to return to your home country after graduation to continue social work.

Recommendation letter from the non-profit organization you work with (this is the first step in the application process).

Detailed description of your social project (2-5 pages).

Academic certificates and transcripts.

Proof of income.

University admission letter (if available).

Recognized language certificate (English or German, depending on your study program).

Step 1: Obtain a recommendation letter from your organization.

Step 2: Upon preliminary approval, you will receive an official application link via email.

Applications are accepted year-round, but only 20 scholarships are awarded annually, so early preparation is advised.
