The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) has launched the 11th edition of its Youth Solidarity Fund (YSF), reaffirming its commitment to empowering young people as agents of peace and social transformation. The Fund supports youth-led organizations that promote mutual understanding, intercultural and interfaith dialogue, and social inclusion, particularly in regions affected by conflict, extremism, and identity-based discrimination The 2025 edition focuses on projects aligned with key UN frameworks, including Security Council Resolutions on Youth, Peace, and Security (2250, 2419, 2535), the Women, Peace, and Security agenda (1325), the UN’s Action Plans on Preventing Violent Extremism and Hate Speech, and safeguarding religious sites Projects addressing intolerance, hate speech, extremism, and those enhancing women’s participation in peacebuilding are especially encouraged
Eligibility Criteria
Legally registered, nonprofit organization active for at least two years. Youth-led, with the majority of leadership aged 18–35. Based in an eligible country as listed by UNAOC. Project must be entirely youth-led, from design to implementation, with clear community benefit, especially for youth. Submission of supporting documents: proof of registration, governing documents, leadership structure with age breakdown, executive director’s biography, and project coordinator’s CV/ID.Benefits
