Opportunity Summary
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the United Nations, the initiative titled "Cities, Communities, Care: Youth in Action for Sustaining Peace" highlights the role of cities, building peaceful relationships, and the commitment of young people as drivers of change. With its main hub in Nairobi and connections to five cities worldwide, this international journey culminates in a global event from November 10 to 12, 2025 The program includes two phases
November 7–9, 2025: Online Autumn School with 150 youth from the "Together for a New Africa" program across 14 sub-Saharan countries, concluding a three-year training program with evaluation
November 10–12, 2025: International Event in Nairobi featuring sessions on discovering cities, building communities, cooperating for peace and sustainability, and designing the future together. Participants will have the opportunity to visit the United Nations Headquarters in Nairobi. The event venue is Mariapolis Piero
Eligibility Criteria
Youth participating in the "Together for a New Africa" program or related youth initiatives
Commitment to peace, justice, and community care
Ability to participate online and in-person in Nairobi (for the second phase)
